Dear Students, State Institute of Open Schooling Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow is an autonomous institution established under the National Education Policy 1986 Government of India. Despite extensive educational reforms and progress in the state, innumerable boys and girls are deprived of education. However, there are socio-economic and geographical reasons for this. Hence the need for "distance and open school education system" was felt for the deprived people of education. To fulfill this obligation, the State Institute of Open Schooling, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow has been established.
State Open Schooling Institute Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow is imparting basic education as well as higher secondary education (classes 1 to 12) to all sections of society through distance and open education. Through this institution, the learner can become a partner in society and nation building by getting proper education at the lowest rates according to his / her convenience.
Our institute has been providing opportunity to the underprivileged and dropout girls or boys to get education. The Council is making its significant contribution in the field of education.
